See where your strokes really go.
Pick a round you played — on PostUp or anywhere else — and PostUp lays your scorecard out on the course, shot by shot. Drag each shot to where it really finished, and see strokes gained for every part of your game against golfers of your handicap.
Advanced stats, done properly.
Your scorecard, laid out on the course
A par with the fairway and green hit shows the drive to the fairway, the approach onto the green and two putts. Missed greens put the chip on the side you missed. You drag each shot to where it really was.
Zoom in for the putts
Go right into the green to put each putt where it was struck — distances show in feet on the green and yards everywhere else.
Strokes gained, shot by shot
Every shot is measured against how many strokes a tour player takes from the same spot, using Mark Broadie’s shot data — the same method the tour uses.
Against golfers like you
Compare each part of your game with what a scratch, 5, 10, 15, 20 or 25 handicap usually loses. The part that’s furthest behind is flagged “Work on this”.
The detail coaches look at
One-putt and three-putt rates by first-putt length, greens hit and proximity by approach distance, up-and-downs from the fairway, rough and sand, fairways and driving distance.
A practice plan
Drills for the two areas costing you the most — lag putting, the wedge ladder, the up-and-down game, fairway finder — with how to do each and how long it takes.
The Caddie’s read
An AI caddie goes through the round: where the strokes went, the most expensive shots by hole, and two or three specific things to work on.
Your game over time
Every mapped round adds to your dashboard: strokes gained per 18, round by round, and the detail across all of them.

Advanced stats — what people ask.
What is strokes gained in golf?
Strokes gained measures each shot against how many strokes it usually takes to hole out from where you started and where you finished. A 150-yard shot from the fairway that finishes 10 feet away gains strokes; one that finishes in a bunker loses them. Added up, it shows which part of your game — driving, approach, short game or putting — costs you the most.
Do I need a launch monitor or shot sensors?
No. PostUp starts from your scorecard and you place each shot on the satellite map of the course. It takes a few minutes a round and works for any round you remember well enough to map.
Can I map a round I didn’t play on PostUp?
Yes. Enter the course, your tees, the date and your score on each hole — putts, fairways and greens are optional but make the first guess closer — then map it like any other round.
Why are my strokes gained numbers negative?
Because they are measured against a PGA Tour player. Almost every amateur loses strokes to the tour; what matters is where you lose them. That is why PostUp also compares you with golfers of your own handicap.
Can my golf coach see my stats?
If you book a lesson or a swing review through PostUp Lessons, you can share your rounds and Advanced stats with that pro — it is on by default when you ask, and you can stop sharing at any time. Nobody else sees them.
Is Advanced stats free?
Yes. Mapping rounds, strokes gained, the benchmarks, the practice plan and the Caddie’s read come with a free PostUp account.
