Using PostUp
By using PostUp you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. You must be at least 13. You’re responsible for your account and for keeping access to your email, since that’s how you sign in.
Text messages
PostUp texts are for your golf: the card after a game, invites to games and your league’s “playing this week?”. You get them only if you add your number and say yes on your profile (an invite a friend sends to your mobile is one text with a link). Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help, or write to [email protected]. Carriers aren’t liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Money between friends
PostUp is a scorekeeping app. Side games, pick’em pools, season games and league dues show who owes whom between people who already play together. PostUp doesn’t take bets, hold stakes, set odds, process payments or take a cut — any money changes hands directly between you, in cash or in your own payment app. You’re responsible for following the laws where you live. Side games, pick’em and season games can never be paid by card on PostUp.
Paying an organiser, course or coach by card
Some organisers, courses and coaches let you pay their fees by card — an outing or tournament entry, league dues, a tee time (in full or a deposit) or a lesson. When they do, the payment is made directly to them through Stripe, on their own Stripe account: they are the seller, the charge appears on your statement under their name, and Stripe’s terms (stripe.com/legal) apply. PostUp is not a party to that payment — it doesn’t receive, hold or pass on the money and takes no fee. PostUp just records on the event, booking or lesson that Stripe says it was paid. Refunds, cancellations and disputes are between you and the organiser, course or coach, who refunds you through Stripe; their own policies apply. Otherwise, tee times are paid at the course and lessons are paid to the coach.
What you post
You own what you post. You give PostUp permission to store it and show it to the people you’ve chosen, so the app can work. Don’t post anything that:
- harasses, bullies, threatens or demeans anyone, or is hateful;
- is sexual, violent or otherwise inappropriate for a golf app;
- is spam, a scam, or pretends to be someone else;
- shares someone else’s private information, or infringes someone’s rights.
Golfers can report content and block other golfers. We review reports, usually within 24 hours, and we may remove content or stop an account from posting, or close it, if it breaks these rules.
Organisers, clubs, coaches and resorts
If you run a league, tournament, outing or club on PostUp, or list yourself as a coach, course or resort, you’re responsible for what you publish and for having permission to add golfers’ details to your roster. Business listings may be checked before they go live.
If you take card payments, you connect your own Stripe account and agree to Stripe’s terms with Stripe. You’re the merchant: the money goes to your Stripe account and bank, you’re responsible for your prices, receipts, refunds, chargebacks and taxes, and Stripe reports your payments to you (and the tax authorities) directly. PostUp takes no fee, never holds your money and can’t move it; disconnecting PostUp leaves your Stripe account and its history with you.
Paid plans
Most of PostUp is free. Where something costs money (for example a league season) the price is shown before you pay. Payments for plans are made through the payment provider shown at checkout.
Our part
We work hard to keep PostUp accurate and running, but yardages, handicaps, results and course information are provided as-is — check anything that matters (a scorecard, a tournament result, a handicap for an official event) with your organiser. To the extent the law allows, PostUp isn’t liable for indirect losses, or for disputes between golfers (including about money).
Ending
You can stop using PostUp and delete your account any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms; if a change matters we’ll tell you in the app first. Questions: [email protected].
